Where they sit on weight
Weight (GSM) is just how dense a fabric is. Lighter breathes more; heavier holds structure.
Cotton blend: the everyday workhorse
Natural cotton with a touch of stretch. Breathable, comfortable, forgiving in the heat. If you want one fabric for most of your week, this is it. Shop cotton blend.
Cotton modal blend: when you want it to feel special
Modal adds a silky smoothness and a fluid drape that makes an everyday piece feel like more than it is. Same easy comfort, a slightly more premium hand. Shop cotton modal blend.
Heavy cotton: structure without trying
Pure cotton at 250 GSM, woven from thick yarns. The way I think about it, a regular T-shirt is for when it is hot, busy and you are moving; a heavy cotton T-shirt is for when you want structure without trying very hard. Shop heavy cotton.

Rib (cotton-modal, 240 GSM): a close, stretchy rib that recovers its shape, used for tanks, fitted tops and rib T-shirts. Textured slub (cotton-modal, 170 GSM): light with a subtle texture, used for polos, T-shirts and button-downs you want to keep cool in.

Frequently asked questions
Is cotton modal better than cotton?
Not better, different. A cotton modal blend has a silkier drape and a more premium feel, while a pure cotton or cotton blend gives you a more classic, breathable hand. Both are excellent; it depends on the feel you want.
What is the difference between a regular T-shirt and a heavy cotton T-shirt?
Weight and structure. A regular T-shirt is lighter (around 180 GSM) and breezier, made for hot, busy, on-the-move days. A heavy cotton T-shirt is denser (around 250 GSM) and holds its shape, for a substantial look with no effort.
Which fabric is most breathable for Indian summers?
The lighter weights breathe best, so a cotton blend or a cotton modal blend at around 180 GSM is ideal for the heat.
